Contegra Construction Builds Distribution Center in Maryland Heights
August 13, 2025 | The first of three distribution centers planned for the $117 million River Valley Logistics Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri, is complete.
Contegra Construction built the 357,056-square-foot project for developer NorthPoint Development. Two more distribution centers totaling nearly 800,000 square feet are also planned for the 94-acre development.
Located at 870 Hog Hollow Road, the first building’s flexibility can accommodate a single user or multiple tenants. It is constructed of tilt-up concrete panels and features a 36-foot clear height, high bay windows for natural light, 40 dock doors expandable to 69, LED lighting with motion sensors, fire suppression and parking for 259 cars and 98 trailers. Standard dock packages include 45,000-pound levelers with bumpers, seals, aligners and lights.
The project included modifications to the intersection of Highway 141 and River Valley Drive, as well as re-striping River Valley Drive to improve traffic safety and efficiency. Crews also placed a new asphalt overlay on Hog Hollow Road, extending the roadway’s lifespan and providing a smoother driving surface.
In addition to roadway improvements, the project delivered critical utility upgrades. A new stormwater lift station was constructed to transfer water from overflow channels to the Missouri River, reducing flood risk in the area. Existing public sanitary lift stations were also modified to tie in new sanitary infrastructure and increase overall system capacity.
River Valley Logistics Center’s St. Louis suburban west location capitalizes on its proximity to I-70, I-270 and Highway 364 and an abundant labor pool. Leasing is managed by Sansone Group.
